Training guide for volunteers
Our operational standards ensure every member acts lawfully, peacefully, and responsibly. All new recruits are required to complete our downloadable handbook and attend an in-person training evening or weekend session before deployment on community patrols.

Core principles and lawful conduct
Our movement operates strictly within UK law to protect and reassure neighbourhoods. Every volunteer must commit to lawful protection and de-escalation first: retreat if safe to do so, defend only as a final resort, and use only proportionate force when necessary. We maintain zero tolerance for aggression, violence, or unlawful behaviour.

First aid, fire, and rescue protocols
Practical emergency preparedness saves lives. Our comprehensive training covers essential first aid response, basic fire safety awareness, and emergency rescue assistance. Medical procedures are strictly reserved for certified first aiders, and volunteers are instructed to contact 999 emergency services immediately during any critical incident.

Coastal observation and community patrols
Volunteers serve as vital eyes and ears across British communities and coastal watchpoints. Training sessions prepare recruits to report observations accurately to relevant authorities, support local safety, and maintain a calm, disciplined presence alongside statutory emergency services without obstruction.
